OIL SKETCHES

Along side my studio work I have, in the last few years, spent more time working in the landscape, painting directly from nature. The subjects that I am drawn to are normally either the river or a tree. The resulting works are quick and spontaneous and involve a variety of marks stroke scratches and splashes to help create image. All these works are oil on unprinted paper or card.
